The players get to make average people (like 20 point GURPs characters or something) and then the GM just fucks with them randomly. Sample play: You hear a booming voice from the sky..... it says.... build an ArkWHAT!? BUILD AN ARK, DAMMIT!Why? You hear a Thunderclap.Aw hell.......

Or...make a podcast called "Bible Stories" which is really a RPG podcast on nothing but like dog sex or something in gaming. Or did I miss the whole point of the sentence. I just watched Magician's Secrets revealed. It was awesome.

Brant: thanks for the kudos on the writing. I love playing with words.
A few things, Ryoken (Incidentally, is there a name I can call you that's realer? I always feel weird calling people by their internet handles, but if you'd prefer to keep it that way, that's totally cool.):
1) "I'll be fucked if I..." is pretty aggressive, I'll grant you. However, it's an "I-statement." That is to say, right there in the thing I'm not saying it's the way everyone should play, it's just something that I find violently squickworthy, for me.
2) I think the "dominant paradigm" a) may be the dominant paradigm for reasons of quirks of history; b) isn't the most creative use of people's time; and c) may in part be what limits the appeal of roleplaying games. However, you're absolutely right. It's totally the dominant paradigm in gaming.
3) The level of technical expertise required to create tv shows or mod video games is light years beyond a little creative collaboration. We're human beings. We create stories and collaborate as part of our intrinsic biological structure.

It's ok sara it was very funny. sorry and YOU Rob BOWL, i, with my complete lack of moderator power, will tolerate no "I" statements, no 7 things effective people do fancy talk, and no going into your cave and finding your power animal. We (royal) use the plain word here none of that established rules of conversation crapola designed by fascists to keep down slim jim and his love of saying what he feels like without it being picked apart syllogistically
