What percent of your game sessions is actually spent gaming? (on average)
We all have side-conversations and bullshitting... make your best guess

I'm going to say 60-80%. It's probably close to 80% but there have been times where my old group spent about half the time just arguing about what we should do that slowly drifts away from gaming and towards our own personal dynamics.

With my current group, we see each other enough that we're pretty on target. I'd say around 80% of the time, allowing for the beginning of the session where everyone is settling back into the game.

The first session of my playtest last Friday, we ran at like 99% game focused. It was awesome.

If I'm GMing then it's close to 80% or higher, otherwise it falls closer to 50-60%. I keep a large cardboard tube at hand for discipline when needed.

u should try and bring a spray bottle with water in it. it might work too.
i'm gonna vote 60%-80%. hmm maybe 70-90? nahh... 65-85. that would be better. in darth's threshold game its on the computer so we "OCC" in the chat room but use () those thingys. or ask questions. and stuff. but yeah. i like my vote. there. its done

Only about 50 percent, but it's the only time we see each other most weeks and there are kids to consider. Still, I'm not happiest about that. In the other group I used to have that ran the first (and perhaps only) complete MY series, it was closer to 80-90%, and for cons I usually manage 90-95%.
